Combat Wombat

Umm, as 'Wombat in Combat', not 'fight Wombat'. Have just come across this delightful little movie created (composed?, drawn?) by a guy named Tom Baker. (Which witch Doctor .. Who? .. but don't think it the same bloke).

Apart from looking more like a koala than a wombat, it is so "me" that I thought that Tom must be living next door. It takes a minute or so to load, with 512 broadband, so don't know how the 'dial-ups' will fare.
It's a hoot. Click on the title.
(P.S. The audio on my 'puter is cactus at the moment, can someone tell me what he says at the end?)

Also, have just discovered Blog search, and am amazed at the number of blogs called "wombat" something .. and here's me thinking that wombats are a rare and endangered species. Pah!

This one, Wombat Blues is interesting, must be a cousin of sorts but dunno how it got to Malaysia.

P.S. we're not that backward down this end of the world..have been watching the latest episodes of Dr Who on the National Broadcaster. Beats watching "fresh Prince of Bel Air", or "Desperate housewives" on the 'networks'. (luv "The Simpsons" tho).

Aha but did you know that the new Dr Who used to be Casanova?

Davoh said...

aha, but "who" is Casanova? (don't answer that, Google has plenty of answers)

Casanova, MD? pshaw, go away. Next thing you will be asking for is a dissection and analysis of "The persecution and asassination of Jean Paul Marat as performed by the inmates of the Charenton Asylum under the direction of the Maquis de Sade".

No f*****t what I wrote was the new Dr Who used to play Casanova in the TV series.

Am I the only person on the planet with any grip on reality?

As for your allusion, well I can only wonder!

Aha! MD .. NOW i get it. Couldn't figure out what Casanova had to do with wombats in combat.
"Marat/Sade" (am not going to type the title again) is a brilliant stage play by Peter Weiss. If anyone has the chance to catch the movie .. go see.

Hi, just let you know, that Wombat Blues bloke is a Malaysian (a friend of mine) who used to study Down Under. In the early days of Usenet, he used to terrorize local newsgroups under the handle Wombat.

But I must say you are the better looking Wombat. :-)

Yes mate. That's me. The nick of Wombat actually came to me when I first got onto the Net and was wondering what I want to be known as.

Then I remember the poor wombat that has a disagreement with my 4WD's front bumper one night on a highway in Victoria on the way to Omeo. I had to put it out of its misery. The image stucked, I guess.

And the Sydney Swans finally won the Grand Final. (Yesss!)
